Hendrick’s Gin Entertains
Cocktails and Curiosities
A peculiar, yet very interesting affair filled fifty-two-twenty-six as Hendrick’s Gin kicked off its 2nd Annual “Voyages into the Unusual” tour. Voted the No. 1 Gin by New York Times in 2001, Hendrick’s did not disappoint.
Guests were transported to another world from the moment they stepped foot into fifty-two-twenty-six, Houston’s premier event venue. Eclectic sounds from the White Ghost Shivers band filled the venue and welcomed fellow journeyers upon the voyage. The white walls and modern fixtures of the space were veiled by an arrangement of lighting and décor while the garden provided an opportune backdrop to reinforce Hendrick’s botanical influences.
The brand’s consumer experience allowed its array of ingredients to take center stage– literally. Guests could “feed the rose” in the botanical garden, take a tour with a chemist in the Apothecary Shop or sip cocktails exploiting the best seasonal ingredients Houston has to offer. Seven “delightfully peculiar” cocktails, with even more intriguing names, were washed down throughout the evening. Guests sampled curious concoctions such as the Night of the Iguana—a distinctive blend of Hendrick’s Gin, celery juice, cucumber juice, lemon, simple syrup, sea salt and cubeb berry—as well as the not-so-traditional Hendrick’s and tonic.
The “most unusual gin” will set sail across the country throughout 2013. For more information on upcoming voyages, visit the Hendrick’s Gin website. Also, call now to schedule your next corporate event or company party. We are more than just a great Houston wedding venue.
